ABOUT

Diddo is a conceptual artist whose work exposes the fragile systems through which value, belief and identity are constructed. Moving between sculpture, installation and mixed media, he appropriates the visual language of science, luxury, religion, technology and commerce. Often using unexpected materials and gestures that destabilise what initially appears familiar or authoritative.

Driven by a fascination with human behaviour, Diddo explores the forces that shape desire, anxiety, status and progress. Projects including Ecce Animal, The Cure for Greed, In Anxiety We Trust and High Fashion Protection investigate the values and contradictions of contemporary society. More recent works, such as For the Love of Technology, Synthetica Naturae and Capture by Code, examine how emerging technologies influence perception, agency and our understanding of what it means to be human.

Diddo's work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including The Independent, Wired, Financial Times, The Huffington Post, Rolling Stone and Vice. Collectors and cultural figures drawn to his practice include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jay-Z.
